A few weeks before my 16th birthday, I joined a website called allpoetry.com. I was a junior in high school, a very successful band nerd, reasonably skilled on the guitar and a closet poet. Why a closet poet? Because I didn't know anyone who cared.

Let's start with the positives. Since April 2015, I have: Gotten married to my best friend/Pass to the Left podcast co-host. Adopted a Shih Tzu whom I have named George. There were many reasons why I chose that name, but mostly, it just fits. Look at him. Taken two vacations in which I did absolutely nothing except play copious amounts of video games. Taken on two new human residents.
