I read somewhere that doctors will sometimes use made-up, yet universally understood to medical professionals acronyms to describe patients. For instance, if an elderly person simply refuses to move onto the next plane, they give them the FTD tag. Failure to Die. This post, however, is about CTD. My marriage and relationship with my best friend is CTD.

Well we've done it. We got our keys late Monday afternoon, spent the week pulling groins and throwing backs, and today, Saturday (the clock just struck midnight), our living room, kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms are mostly complete. Let's start with the positives. Since April 2015, I have: Gotten married to my best friend/Pass to the Left podcast co-host. Adopted a Shih Tzu whom I have named George. There were many reasons why I chose that name, but mostly, it just fits. Look at him. Taken two vacations in which I did absolutely nothing except play copious amounts of video games. Taken on two new human residents.

What's been going on? Not a whole lot. I have cornered this annoying little block in my brain and forced it to identify itself. And it has! I now know why I haven't written Anything, lately. Yes, this blog is about a Dream. What I'd really like to do is start a group for writers and bring amateur literature into a whole new light. Having been a part of allpoetry.com for about a decade now, I can honestly say that, in that entire time, I've only encountered a handful of poets who I really thought were something. It's very difficult to get me to sit down and watch a movie. Same thing with TV shows. I've just never considered it my idea of a good time.
